The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will be offering the SAP TERP10 Certification Course in the spring of 2009. UWM will be offering the new format that will involve a combination of e-learning and classroom experience. The online e-learning portion of the course begins on April 1 (the course does not actually physically meet this day). This course is only open to qualified students.

Overview

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will be offering the SAP TERP10 Certification Course in the spring of 2009. UWM will be offering the new format that will involve a combination of e-learning and classroom experience.

  • Students will learn the TERP10 content with a combination of e-learning and classroom-based training. They will be required to complete the e-learning portion of the class prior to coming to the classroom training conducted at UWM. Students will be given access to the e-learning materials with ample time to prepare.
  • Students will be expected to make continual progress on completing the course work -- it will be critical to their success that they have completed all e-learning and are completely prepared for the classroom experience. Review sessions with quizzes will be conducted.
  • The classroom portion of the academy will be 1 week in length, with the certification exam given on the last day. This instructor-led week will focus on the most critical concepts of SAP ERP and the academy, with extensive hands-on time, and preparation / review for the exam.
  • Students will take the same exam they've taken in the past - a traditional SAP certification exam.
  • While this blended approach is new, SAP has done a variation on this in Asia - and the (limited) results show a higher pass rate on the certification exam than those taking the traditional classroom course.

Specific details:

  • Registration for the course (including payment of the registration fee) will begin March 1 on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for registration will be March 31.
  • The e-learning portion will begin April 1.
  • The weeklong full-time classroom experience will take place at UWM the week of May 18 to May 22.
  • The cost to the student for taking this course and the certification exam will be $600, which can be paid by check or credit card.
  • To qualify for this certification course, students will need to take a total of three SAP courses. Of these three, the student needs to have completed two of the SAP courses prior to taking the classroom portion.
