Goals and
Objectives
The Center has been established with three key
objectives in mind:
-
to serve as the School's link to Wisconsin business, the UWM campus,
and the UW-System
-
to provide outreach training and sponsored research through faculty
and community involvement
-
to actively seek industry partners in order to maintain a leadership
position in technology
The Center is dedicated to facilitating a match between academia and
business and providing a place where innovative solutions to information
technology issues can be explored and implemented.
Our long-term goals are to:

Establish partners, an Advisory Board, and members from Greater
Milwaukee area companies
-
Create special advisory committees for eBusiness, SAP, Data
Warehousing & Data Mining, Web Development, and MIS.
-
Expand current customized technology-focused training
-
Develop practicum opportunities as well as potential funding for
entrepreneurial projects
-
Seek support for ongoing and future research in the technology area
-
Review and update degree programs to incorporate technology courses
-
Act as an advisory source as the importance of technology is being
recognized in Wisconsin
-
Engage speakers and develop short programs for Center members,
faculty, students and the community
